H.O.P.E. MODEL FOR CHURCHES

Minority Family

CAN CHURCHES REALLY MAKE AN IMPACT?

There are about 60,000 children in California’s foster care system, of which 13,000 are awaiting adoption. If every church cares for one foster child, every child will have a caring home.

• Reduce crime: 14% of inmates polled were once foster care children
• Combat human trafficking: 60% of trafficked children are from foster care

Our vision is that every child removed will have a healthy family waiting to love them – whether it’s for a day, a month, a year…or forever. And children with sexual trauma will get services and families to help them heal.

WHAT IS THE H.O.P.E. MODEL?

H.O.P.E. is a way for congregations to build a long-term culture of caring for foster care children and youth in our cities. It focuses on recruiting healthy families and keeping them healthy through small group and prayer support. Click here to download the HOPE Model.
